This song is a lullaby to my children. It is based on my grandmother Marie's bedtime stories about her childhood on the prairie during the early 1900's in Minco, Oklahoma. The video also features my grandmother Grace's piano, which was delivered to her home in Binger, Oklahoma as a surprise when she was a little girl. The piano actually survived a house fire, which explains the black varnish and loose veneer. On a trip back to Tennessee, my girls and I stopped in Weleetka, Oklahoma to film this. This song and video are dedicated to both of my grandmothers, who were true, strong, pioneer women, and who I miss every day.
