Dann wurde er durch einen Zufall zum Superstar in Schweden – ein wahres Musikmärchen: Da ist dieses Schild neben ihm. "Out of work / Anything helps". Doug Seegers sitzt im Jahr 2013 auf einem Stück Gras in Nashville, angelehnt an einer Mauer, und spielt auf seiner Gitarre einen Countrysong, den er selbst vor langer Zeit geschrieben hat: "Going Down To The River". Er handelt von der Sehnsucht, sich von den eigenen Sünden reinzuwaschen.
